In March 2020, LightOx CEO Sam Whitehouse and Business Development Executive Amy Wright attended the Northern Powerhouse Premier trade mission to Washington and Atlanta.
This mission enabled us to build connections with key decision makers in the industry and form relationships to enable close trade ties.
Within this trade mission, Sam and Amy met with a multitude of experts in the healthcare and technology industry and discussed the use of light-activated therapy in the treatment of early stages of oral cancer.
Throughout the mission, LightOx was interested in meeting with potential investors and companies with experience in Oral Cancers and/or photodynamic therapy and service providers as we move into the clinic.
Meeting with individuals and businesses with experience in oral cancer research and treatment has allowed for a more comprehensive gathering of potential collaborations and investors alike.
In addition to benefiting from the knowledge base evident throughout the mission, the opportunity to witness first-hand research facilities and the benefits of investment has proven invaluable in LightOx’s strategy moving throughout 2020 (also the added side benefit of seeing Washington and Atlanta in all its glory!).
